The NoCode revolution is here. The gap between programming and design has been steadily shrinking for decades, and with the transition from code to code-less, new opportunities are opening for businesses of all sizes.

Platforms offering NoCode templates, such as Shopify, now enable microbusinesses to launch online businesses. Zeroqode marketplace Templates match powerhouse companies like Uber & AirBNB. Startups can hugely fast-track development through codeless tools like bubble & Webflow, and organisations are able to instantly link their entire tool suite through services like Zapier

These are all game-changing advancements for modern businesses, made possible by the shifting cultures and lowered barriers around coding. The result? Outstanding reductions in cost, time, and energy that would otherwise be spent in development.

So why now? Companies such as Wordpress have predicted the capabilities of low-code environments as early as 2003, and fellow innovative platforms have continued to push the boundaries to date. When you consider that less than 0.5% of the global population knows how to code, it’s no surprise that NoCode platforms have remained in such high demand.

And over the past decade, the tech industry has received constant criticism for it’s skill-shortage, leading to a lack of diversity and inclusion. Even within Australia, we’re in need of 80,000 more workers by 2022 to match industry growth. To meet this demand, expectations have shifted from the rather niche skillset of programming to the widespread and cross-skillable world of design. NoCode design is at the forefront of this cultural shift, with solutions that enable business owners to bridge this gap between design and development, achieving more-with-less as a result.

In 2015, surveys revealed failed I.T. projects in 55% of businesses. Most business owners can attest to the difficulty of finding a developer who is not only qualified, but also understanding the project requirements. I.T. projects are already extremely challenging.

To reduce the strain of development in your next project, I highly recommend the following platforms:

  • Zapier, for all your connectivity and workflow needs
  • Pipedrive as your companies CRM, its simplicity is awesome and connectivity to third-party platforms such as PandaDoc, zapier, slack and Xero makes everything integrated and simple to manage
  • Bubble.io seems to have popped out of nowhere for me and taking off like a rocketship.  Were interested in seeing how scalable and powerful this becomes off an already pretty cool feature set.
  • Needless to say, Webflow makes the list, what can be done in webflow in hours used to take weeks.

At Teamified, we are actively looking at ways of delivering solutions that are better, faster and more cost-effective. We are actively building out new ways to include these technologies in all of our future capabilities.  We’ve kept a close eye on no-code for a long time, and are currently developing our own NoCode/low-code squad specifically for helping businesses prototype, launch, and scale products faster than ever before.
